What Are Archicad AI Credits?
With Archicad 30, Graphisoft moved its AI features onto a credit system. Each month your subscription adds AI credits to a pool, and using an AI feature spends credits from it. The features that draw on the pool include the AI Visualizer, the AI Assistant, AI Assistant Spaces, and Archicad MCP (in beta).
How Many Credits You Get
- Archicad Studio: 50 AI credits per licence per month
- Archicad Collaborate: 50 AI credits per licence per month
- Archicad Max: 250 AI credits per licence per month
Credits from every licence are added to a single company-wide pool, and anyone in the company can spend them on any of the AI features. A five-seat Studio office, for example, has 250 credits a month to share.
How Far Do Credits Go for Rendering?
This is the part that's hard to plan around. Graphisoft says image generation in the AI Visualizer is computationally heavier than a short text answer, so it typically uses more credits per action, but it doesn't publish a fixed cost per image. The Visualizer also offers a choice of image engines, from fast and lightweight to more advanced models such as Nano Banana Pro, which are likely to cost different amounts.
Because the pool is shared, the number of renders available to one person also depends on how heavily the rest of the office uses the AI Assistant and other features that month.
What Happens When Credits Run Out
When the pool is empty, credit-based AI features stop working until it renews at the start of the next month. Everything in Archicad that doesn't use AI credits carries on as normal. If your office relies on AI renders for a deadline late in the month, it's worth keeping an eye on the pool.
Who Gets AI Credits
Credits come with the Studio, Collaborate, and Max subscription plans, and the updated AI Visualizer runs in Archicad 30. Offices on perpetual licences, or still working in Archicad 29 or earlier, don't get the credit-based features. We cover the options for them in AI rendering on an Archicad perpetual licence.
How This Compares with Dedicated Render Credits
Linespire Reflectalso uses credits, but they work differently: they're only for Linespire's own rendering, upscaling, and animation, and one render is always one credit. The Pro plan includes 100 credits a month for $29, Studio 400 for $79, and Enterprise 1,200 for $199, with a free trial of 5 credits. That makes the monthly number of renders easy to plan, and it doesn't compete with anyone's use of the AI Assistant.
Many offices will use both: the built-in AI Visualizer for occasional images, and a dedicated tool when rendering volume or Archicad version support matters. Our full comparison covers the differences in detail.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many AI credits do I get in Archicad 30?
Graphisoft lists 50 AI credits per licence per month on Archicad Studio and Collaborate, and 250 per licence per month on Archicad Max. Credits from every licence go into one company-wide pool.
How many credits does an AI Visualizer image use?
Graphisoft does not publish a fixed number. It says image generation is heavier than a short text answer and typically uses more credits per action, so the number of images a pool covers depends on how the rest of the office uses AI.
What happens when the AI credits run out?
Credit-based AI features stop working until the pool renews at the start of the next month. Everything else in Archicad keeps working as normal.
Can I use Archicad AI credits on a perpetual licence?
No. AI credits come with the Studio, Collaborate, and Max subscription plans, and the updated AI Visualizer requires Archicad 30 on one of those plans.
