This Privacy Policy describes how Linespire Reflect ("we," "us," or "the Service") collects, handles, and protects your personal and architectural data. Operating as an Australian entity, we adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Conceptual Nature of AI Outputs (Liability Disclaimer)

Linespire Reflect is a generative AI visualization tool.

  • Conceptual Only: All images, textures, and renders generated by the Service ("Outputs") are conceptual in nature.
  • No Professional Reliance: Outputs are provided for aesthetic visualization purposes only. They must not be used or relied upon for structural engineering, fire safety, building code compliance, council approvals, or any regulatory purposes.
  • Professional Responsibility: The user (typically a registered Architect or Draftsperson) maintains full responsibility for the accuracy and safety of any final architectural documentation.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only where necessary to provide our service:

  • Account Data: Email address and login credentials.
  • Financial Data: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store or see your full credit card details.
  • Input Data: 3D views, architectural geometry, and text prompts provided via the Archicad Add-on.
  • Inbound Communication: Any emails sent to our support address are processed by Resend, which handles our inbound forwarding and outbound transactional delivery logic.

3. Generative AI & Third-Party Processing

We respect the intellectual property of your architectural designs. Our AI processing follows a "Referral of Terms" model:

  • Third-Party Infrastructure: Linespire Reflect does not process AI renders on its own hardware. All Input Data (images and prompts) is processed via Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI).
  • No Proprietary Training: Linespire Reflect does not use your private architectural data or proprietary Input Data to train our own models or logic.
  • Google Data Governance: The handling, storage, and usage of data sent to Google for AI generation are governed exclusively by Google’s own terms. Users should review the Google Cloud Generative AI Data Governance and Privacy documentation for details.
  • Liability Shift & Risks: By using the Service, you acknowledge that AI processing is subject to the third-party policies of Google. We cannot guarantee or warrant against future policy changes by Google. Users utilize the Service at their own risk regarding third-party data handling.

4. Cross-Border Disclosure (APP 8)

Linespire Reflect utilizes global cloud infrastructure to provide high-performance AI services. By using this Service, you provide informed consent to the disclosure of your information to overseas recipients under the following conditions:

  • Storage: Our primary databases and file storage are managed by Supabase, located in regions including the United States and Singapore.
  • AI Processing: Image generation is processed via Google Cloud Platform (GCP) across various international regions depending on current compute availability.
  • Communication: Email metadata and content are processed by Resend in the United States.

Note: While we select providers with high security standards (SOC2/ISO27001), these overseas recipients may not be subject to the Australian Privacy Act, and you may not be able to seek redress under the Act in those jurisdictions.

5. Data Retention & Cleanup

To maintain system performance and minimize security footprints:

  • Last 5 Renders: We only retain the last 5 renders per user in our cloud storage.
  • Automated Deletion: Renders beyond the last 5 are automatically and permanently deleted from our database and storage buckets.

6. Access, Correction, and Your Rights (APP 12 & 13)

Under the APPs, you have the right to:

  1. Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  2. Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or out-of-date information.
  3. Anonymity: Where lawful and practicable, you have the option of not identifying yourself when dealing with us, though this will prevent the use of our rendering services.

7. Complaints (APP 1.4)

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint:

  • Internal: Send your complaint in writing to our contact email. We will respond within 30 days.
  • External: If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
