AI Rendering Best Practices
Detailed guide to mastering the architectural AI visualization workflow.
1. The "Architecture-First" Philosophy
Unlike older AI generators, Linespire Reflect is built to respect your Archicad geometry. This means you don't need to "over-prompt" the architecture itself.
- Focus your prompts on: Environment (landscaping, context), Atmosphere (weather, seasonal quality), and Materiality (textures and finishes).
- Trust the model: Let your 3D geometry communicate the structure; prompting structural changes often leads to disappointment in design fidelity.
2. Camera & Composition
To achieve a "photographic" look, your Archicad camera settings are just as important as your text prompt.
Focal Length & FOV
Use a 40°–60° View Cone. This mimics a 35mm–50mm "standard" lens, preventing wide-angle distortion that can confuse AI geometry.
Vertical Alignment
Always enable Two-Point Perspective in your Archicad 3D view. Straight vertical lines are a hallmark of professional photography.
Exterior Angles
Aim for a "Hero" angle with your camera at eye-level, approximately 1.5m–1.7m.
Interior Position
Position your camera at 1.2m–1.5m to ground the viewer and make the space feel accessible.
The Transparency Tip: AI "sees" what you see. Ensure your Archicad 3D Styles have "Transparency" turned ON. If the glass in your model is opaque grey, the AI can’t see what’s behind it.
3. Setting the Output Resolution
The AI image matches the aspect ratio of your active Archicad 3D window.
Pro Tip: If you want a 1920x1080 render, ensure your Archicad window is sized correctly. A square window will produce a square AI image, while a "panoramic" window will yield a wide-angle render.
4. Lighting Controls
Lighting is hard-coded into our dropdown menu to prevent contradictions.
Avoid Lighting Prompts: Do not include lighting cues in your text box. Contradictions (e.g., asking for "Midday Sun" while selecting "Evening" from the menu) will result in "muddy" or nonsensical renders.
5. Understanding Image Resolution
While 4K is the industry standard for final delivery, Linespire Reflect currently generates images at 1K.
Why 1K?
AI generative models maintain the highest level of material realism and geometric accuracy at this resolution. 4K natively often causes the AI to "invent" textures or distort details like window mullions.
The Roadmap
We are developing a native AI Upscaler for a future release. This will allow you to generate a "perfect" 1K image first, then "enhance" it to 4K without losing structural integrity.
